HOW TO MAKE OKRA/BHINDI :
Step 1
Wash the
okra properly and keep them aside. Let the excess water drain out. Once,
drained properly, slit open the okras by making a cut lengthwise. Next, chop
the onions and green chilies finely and keep them aside.
Step 2
Now, put
a kadhai on medium flame and heat the oil. Once the oil is hot enough, add
cumin seeds and saute. Further, add the chopped onions and subsequently other
spices like turmeric and coriander powder along with the green chilies. Stir
them continuously.
Step 3
Add the
okras and mix them well, so that they absorb the flavours and taste of the
spices. Cook it with the lid covering and reduce the flame. Add salt and amchur
(dry mango powder) to the cooked okra and give them one last stir. The Masala
Okra is ready to serve with chapatti or paratha of your choice.
